Important Notice: We are currently not accepting female dog or cat appointments from residents of Davidson, Sumner, Williamson, or Rutherford Counties. For clinics in those areas, please visit spaytennessee.org.

The Process

Four clear steps.
No confusion.

We’ve redesigned how appointments work so you always know exactly where you stand. Many clinics say “book now” when they mean “apply now.” We tell you the truth upfront — and walk you through every step.

Please note: Submitting the online form is an application, not an instant confirmed booking. Our team reviews every application within 1–2 business days and contacts you to confirm your appointment.
I
Step One

Submit Your Application

Complete the online form with your contact details, pet information, and preferred dates. Takes less than five minutes.

II
Step Two

Clinic Review

Our team reviews eligibility, checks the schedule, and verifies any grant assistance you may qualify for.

III
Step Three

We Confirm Your Date

We call or email you within 1–2 business days to confirm a specific date and time, and send pre-surgery preparation instructions.

IV
Step Four

Surgery Day

Bring your pet in on the confirmed date. Most pets go home the same day. Post-operative care instructions are provided.

Transparent Pricing

Every price, listed honestly.

No hidden fees. No surprises on the day of surgery. What you see here is what you pay. Grants are available for qualifying families — call us to check eligibility before applying.

Our Mission

Built to serve the community — not to profit from it.

MTSNC exists because pet overpopulation is a crisis that disproportionately affects families who can’t afford full-price veterinary care. We provide affordable, high-quality surgery through donations, grants, and aggressive fundraising.

Our Medical Director, Alexandria Logan, DVM, leads a team committed to the highest clinical standards — regardless of what a family can afford to pay.

When you submit the online form, you are submitting an application — not confirming an appointment. Our team reviews every application within 1–2 business days and contacts you to confirm a specific date and time. We do this to match clinic capacity with demand and ensure everyone is served fairly.
Cats must be at least 4 months old and weigh a minimum of 3 lbs. Dogs must be at least 4 months old and weigh a minimum of 5 lbs. We also offer pediatric surgeries — call us to discuss your specific situation.
Grants are available for pet owners who provide proof of low income or current enrollment in a federal or state assistance program, such as SNAP, Medicaid/TennCare, SSI, WIC, or Section 8 housing. Some of our grants are specifically funded through an agreement with the State of Tennessee. Call (931) 684-5353 to check your eligibility.
Although located in Bedford County (Shelbyville), we serve all of Middle Tennessee — with one current exception: we are not accepting female dog or cat appointments from residents of Davidson, Sumner, Williamson, or Rutherford Counties. Residents of those counties should visit spaytennessee.org for alternatives.
Restrict all strenuous activity for 7–10 days. Keep the incision site clean and dry — no baths during recovery. Check the incision twice daily for drainage, swelling, or redness. Limit food and water the first evening. Call us at (931) 684-5353 for any concerns directly related to the surgery.
We offer vaccines (rabies $10, distemper/parvo $10, bordetella $10, feline distemper $10, feline leukemia $15), heartworm testing ($20), FIV/FeLV testing ($25), fecal exams ($10), and microchipping ($20) — all at the time of surgery. Microchipping can also be done as a standalone appointment.
